Eve Hillary, a registered nurse, worked for many years in major hospitals in sydney. She and her husband ran a 2000 hectare cattle and sheep property and horse stud in NSW in the 1980's, during which time she and her family were afflicted with severe environmental illness. She now lives on a small rural property, and is establishing an organic garden, orchard and personal sanctuary. This proactive, yet always uplifting book, is a modern parable about our world - our environment - which with neglect and misuse can become poisonous and barren.
